Italy gondola ride, on our way to dinner, we can heard every day conversations above in the apartments. Narrowly passing neighboring boats with other tourist inside snapping photos. The water looks murky yet free from all trash. We pass through archways that carry its residents over us to the other side and can see people posing for pictures of their trip to Italy. The boat is well furnished with cushions and a small mural of the docs where we boarded the boat. There is a faint and unique sound of an accordion player down one of the alleys we passed, all the boats slowly row by as we pull around the corner to a different canal with red bricks.

Scuba diving in the Maldives, I slowly plunge deeper into the ocean, away from the shore. Thousands of fish swim past me on this pilgrimage to the reef. Below are the bigger fish and even some sharks. I finally reach the reef as I hover and drift above admiring all the creatures darting around

Traveling through one of the provinces in China, I board a slow motorboat through the mountains as I navigate through the river trying to spot a panda or two.

Walking back from dinner, I stop to admire the night scape in Chicago. I stop at an overlook facing a corner of the city with a bridge covered with pedestrians rushing home to their love ones. Flags can be seen flowing in the wind on this bridge as the cars zoom past creating a loud rattling sound as the tires roll over the grills. Boats slowly past underneath the bridge as couples spend their night drifting down the river.

Sipping some coffee and with a book in hand, I find myself at a park in New York for labor day. The place is filled with families who have decided to take their children to the water area. Children screaming, crying, laughing can all be heard over the spouts jetting streams of cold water on to eager children. Parents can be seen in the background gossiping about other parents as the loop continues

Clouds pass above me as I drift in and out of sleep. I dream of my future which is unclear and try to plan for it. I can hear the trees rustling in the background and the nearby road with cars honking at each other, probably due to an accident.

Journey #1
I am on a train to visit my girlfriend’s grandparents in the Sweden for christmas break. The train leaves the station slowly but gets up to speed in no time. The train runs parallel to the ice peak of the steep mountains above us, leaving a long train of steam behind. Winter has taken its toll on nature as the trees are bare of all leaves and are laced with white powdered snow, lakes have been frozen over and not a creature in sight. The smells of the train fumes slowly make their way into our cabin, a musty burnt smell of coal.

Social systems

A Band of traveling hunters that move when they have exhausted their resources. They live and operate high in the trees to avoid predators and passerbys below. They feed on creatures found on their elevation, from fruits, leaves and small mammals. The hunters consist of a single chieftain and his partner that organizes most of the band’s activities.  A dominant trait of the people is their tough leather like skin that they have adapted to due to the rough bark and thorns in the trees. Their culture is very much reliant on their physical enriment and they change according to that. They also are able to share ideas and collections of data through written scripts on big leaves on paper that are stored in bags made out of tree bark. Encounters are often rare but other bands sometimes but just for the purpose of passing on information.
